Entrepreneur Magazine has this to say about franchises: "Starting a business from scratch is scary. That's why thousands of people prefer to buy a franchise, which is based on a proven business model. The secret of success is following the rules and operating your business according to the franchise plan."

THE PROPOSAL

A business system designed by professionals with a proven track record. Both principals in Enviro Systems have developed and currently run multi-million dollar businesses. An Enviro Systems franchise allows you to tap into this expertise to build your own future.
(See "About Us" for more information.)

Enviro Systems Renewable Resources has developed a trade name and trademark for farm plantation grown firewood that carries with it an implicit standard of a low moisture content, easy handling, conveniently packaged product. This trademark and name is used on all packaging, documentation and advertising.

On-going support in running your business. Enviro Systems offers templates for print ads, flyers and promotional materials, advice and business resources accessible 24 hours a day on it's own Franchisees web site - all of this backed up by advice on marketing your business and support from professionals in business administration, marketing and the wood supply industry.

A pipeline to high-quality product that meets consumer needs in a new and unique way - while opening up new markets. Traditional wood delivery meant the supplier would show up once a year, dump a load of wood and leave the customer to stack and store it.  That meant a customer base limited to rural and suburban areas - as city dwellers typically don't have the space to store a season's worth of wood!

Enviro Systems program expands the market by providing end users with neatly packaged wood in  easy to store 18kg packages that can be delivered straight to the customers' doorsteps.

To date, no retailers are supplying a packaged firewood product, which is of consistent quality and is of the high standard of Enviro Systems plantation firewood.

Unlimited opportunities. We welcome creative thinkers.. As a franchisee, you can market your wood to hotels, restaurants and retail outlets. It's your business - to build as big as you want it to go. And, unlike other agricultural investments - you aren't burdened with the hassle of growing the product!

An additional income stream for an existing business.

If you are currently own a

  • retail hardware outlet
  • service station
  • home delivery business
  • lawn mowing or garden maintenance business
  • roof or chimney maintenance service
  • home or business cleaning service

or are semi-retired or a retiree able to deliver firewood seasonally --

an Enviro Systems franchise would give you the opportunity to offer customers a new approach to their fuel needs delivered to their door in this unique way.

As with all professional franchise opportunities, Franchisees pay an annual licence fee and are guaranteed a minimum supply of three (3) tonnes of firewood per annum,  for every franchise licence they purchase, increasing in the fourth year of the Franchise.

However, if at anytime, you need further stock, - you can check out the Franchisee section of the web site for opportunities to buy overstock from other Enviro Systems Franchisees. More Franchises are  available at anytime  to expand your business.

FINANCIAL OVERVIEW

Franchisees should receive an immediate income tax benefit for near 100% of the Franchise licence fees and all on going cost as incurred. However, this is dependent on how much effort you put into your business.

Taking a look at the ten-year projections chart below, you will see that once the business is established - the returns on investment have the potential to yield a 90 percent return by the end of the second year - and by the 5th year, has the potential to yield a return of more than 216%!

THE TIME IS RIGHT

Australian and New Zealand Environment and Conservation Council Draft Code of Conduct has recommended firewood merchants obtain firewood from sources that do not threaten the conservation of flora and fauna of forest and woodland ecosystems. It is believed that the guidelines will be implemented and this will have an enormous impact on the availability of firewood nationally.* Already the A.C.T. has introduced regulations on firewood sellers to ensure that only dry wood of correct weight is sold and that customers receive information on the source of their timber.

With both the domestic and global consumer of wood products becoming increasingly environmentally conscious, the identification of farm plantation grown product as sustainably produced will be a major commercial advantage, thus attracting premium prices for product that is plantation grown.

ENVIRO SYSTEMS' MAJOR PLANTATION

Enviro Systems' major plantation is established on Warolim and surrounding properties in the Parish of Kadnook County of Lowan. This section of approximately 980 hectares is situated in Kadnook Victoria approximately 10 kilometres southwest of Edenhope. Of this, 100 hectares was planted in 1998 with a further 350 hectares planted in the 1999 season, 200 hectares in 2000 and 200 hectares in 2001.

The combination of climate, soil and topography for the Green Triangle region indicates that it is well suited to forestry, in particular to the Eucalyptus globulus (Tasmanian Blue Gum) we grow. The plantation allows Enviro Systems to guarantee the supply of firewood to franchisees. After the first harvest, the tree re-sprouts from the stump. This is called the 'coppice'. By removing all but the strongest shoots the plantation regenerates.

Enviro Systems Renewable Resources Ltd is a public unlisted company established by Stephen McNamara and John Chambers to revolutionise the growing and marketing of specifically grown plantation firewood.

The franchise system established by Enviro Systems allows for small and large investors to become involved at a working level with the sale of firewood from plantation-grown Tasmanian Blue Gum.

AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR GROWING ANY TREES ?

No, This is a firewood merchant franchise giving you the opportunity to establish a business to market, sell and deliver firewood.

Enviro Systems are responsible for supplying the wood. Unlike other agricultural investment you are not burdened with the hassle of growing the product.

DO YOU BELIEVE THE MARKET PLACE WILL ACCOMMODATE THE FIREWOOD IN THE FUTURE ?

Yes!  New regulations suggest there will be a major impact on availability of firewood nationally.
It is believed that new guidelines will be implemented thus allowing the market for plantation grown firewood to increase dramatically.

Your Enviro Systems Franchise will allow you to have a commercial advantage and attract premium prices for the product.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A "FRANCHISEE" ?

Franchisees are in their own business and market the firewood according to the Franchisor's Marketing System.

The Franchisee may appoint an agent to market the firewood on behalf of the franchisee.
Great benefit is seen in marketing under the franchise name, Enviro Systems Renewable Resources.
The Franchise System has developed a procedure for the sale of your firewood.

ARE THERE ANY TAXATION BENEFITS?

Yes! Any costs can be paid by you then when returns are forthcoming they can go to the recipient.

DO I HAVE ANY FURTHER LIABILITY AS A FRANCHISEE?

Yes! Subject to the prior written consent of the Franchisor, your interest may be transferred or sold to another party.

IS THERE A MINIMUM INVESTMENT?
